Routes chain together FluentCloud’s most powerful features, providing greater control over incoming calls.
Send a call to a call group, then to an external number. Or, direct unanswered calls from multiple phones to a single voicemail.
Set time conditions that push calls to your office phone during business hours and to your cell phone in the evening. Even better, be prepared for time away from work with time conditions for holidays, important meetings, and anything else.
Routes are where the Cloud works hardest for you. The possibilities are endless!
1. Create a New Route
Select Routes from the Settings menu, then hit Create New
Assign a name to your route
Provide routing instructions to your route. This will dictate how inbound calls are received. If necessary, you can add additional time conditions on your route to reflect different times, and days of the week, for example Business Hours.
2. Assign a Phone Number to Your Route
Once your route is complete, let’s assign a phone number. Once assigned, whenever that specific phone number is dialed, it will follow the instructions set up in your route.
To do this, click on Attach One Now, located above the Add Time Condition module. This will redirect you to your list of phone numbers, select a phone number you’d like to assign to your route.
Once your phone number is selected, assign it to your route by going to your phone number’s Routing settings.
On the Set Phone Number To field, select Route. This will add the Route field, which will allow you to choose the route you would like to assign to your phone number. Click Submit once done to save your changes.
Routes Tips and Tricks
You can confirm your phone number is assigned to your route by going back to your routes page and checking which phone numbers are assigned to that route. You can have more than one phone number assigned to a route.
