Call Blocking in My FluentCloud Portal

 

Call Blocking Options

 

This feature allows you to block incoming calls from specific numbers.

 

Permissions: Cloud User & Administrator

 

Call Blocking Configuration

 

1. Locate the Blocking Feature on the User Portal 

Towards the upper left corner of the screen, select Call Management, then Blocking

 

 

2. Turn on and Enable Call Blocking

Start by clicking on the yellow “Turn On Call Blocking” button. (Note that call blocking can be disabled by clicking this same button after setting call blocking to “On”). 

Once enabled, you will be presented with a list of options to set up call blocking for certain numbers. Start by entering the number you would like to add to your Blocked Numbers list.

 

Confirm you’d like to block this number by pressing the + sign on the right, and that number will be added to your Blocked Numbers list. Be sure to click the Submit button at the bottom of  your screen to save all your changes.

 

Call Blocking Tips and Tricks:

In addition to blocking numbers, you can also control the behavior for how calls are received when numbers on your Blocked Numbers list dial in to your phone system. These options are located right below the Blocked Numbers:

  • Callers without Caller ID: You can choose to either Allow or Block incoming numbers that do not present a caller ID, such as Unknown or Spam numbers. 

  • When blocking calls: This setting allows you to choose what the inbound caller on your block list will hear when trying to reach your phone system. You can choose to send it straight to voicemail, play the “busy” signal to the caller, or have the caller just hear endless ringing by choosing the “torture” option.

 

Note: When adding a number to a Blocked Numbers list on the user portal, that number will only be blocked for that particular extension that signs in to the user portal. In order to apply call blocking to multiple extensions, each extension will have to add that same number to their Blocked Numbers list. However there is a way to enable call blocking for your entire account without the need to add blocked numbers to each extension. Please contact FluentStream support for more information
