Auto-Provisioning the Panasonic TGP series of phones

There are two ways to setup auto-provisioning for Panasonic phones.  The first and easiest way is to utilize DHCP option 66 to direct the phone on boot to our provisioning server.  This is the preferred method, as it avoids the need to manually enable and login to the web interface.

  • Set option 66 to: p.fluentcloud.com
  • Power cycle the phone
  • You should see it reboot 2-3 times depending on the firmware status.
  • When you see a solid green status light, provisioning is complete.

If your router does not support option 66 (most residential and small business routers), then you must configure via the web interface.

  • Retrieve the phone IP address
    • From the cordless handset, Press Menu, then select IP service
    • Select Network Setting, then IP settings.  Take note of the IP address listed.
    • Press back to return to the previous menu.
  • Enable the web interface.
    • If you just came from the IP setting menu, you will see Embedded Web.  Select that menu, or from the Idle screen, press Menu, IP service, Network Setting, then Embedded web.
    • Select On and press save.  The phone will confirm with a long beep.
  • Login to the web interface
    • Open a web browser and enter the IP address your retrieved in the first step into the address bar.
    • If the phone is at defaults, the login credentials are: admin \ adminpass.  If the phone is not at defaults, please use the reset procedure at the bottom of this page then retry.
    • Select the Maintenance tab at the top of the page, then choose Provisioning Maintenance from the left column menu.
    • Set the following fields:
      • Enable Provisioning: Yes
      • Standard File URL: http://p.fluentcloud.com/{mac}.cfg
      • Cyclic Auto Resync: Yes
    • Save the new settings, and wait for an automatic reboot.  If the phone does not reboot automatically in 5 minutes, power cycle it manually.

Note: Once provisioning is complete, the admin login is changed for security reasons, but it is always enabled for easier access(no need to go to Embedded web setting).  If you need access to the web interface, please contact support for the new password.

Reset Procedure

The normal admin login only allows a user to reset items modified in the web interface, and not the entire phone.  To do a true factory reset simply login with a different username and password.

      • login credentials are: customerserviceid \ cspass
        • BUG NOTICE: Sometimes you will get a 403 forbidden page when logging in.  Simply disable, then enable the Embedded web setting, then refresh the page to clear this error.
        • BUG NOTICE: Some web browsers will retain the original login if you used admin \ adminpass first.  Use an incognito tab to avoid this caching.
      • Select the maintenance tab at the top, then Reset to Defaults form the left column.
      • Select Reset to Factory Defaults to complete the reset.
