The following guide will walk you through the process of provisioning your Cisco SPA series phone to work on FluentCloud’s new and improved hosted phone system. Please note that you may contact a FluentStream Support Technician to assist you with this provisioning process. To contact support dial (303) GO-CLOUD and Select Option 2 for Support.


  • Reset Phone to Factory Default
    •  Before you begin configuring your phone to work with the new FluentCloud platform you will first need to restore the Cisco phone to its original factory settings. From the phone's idle screen, first hit the Menu button (button symbol looks like a piece of paper with the corner folded). Choose option 14 ( Factory Reset), then confirm by hitting “ok”.


  • Phone Configuration 
    • Once the phone is booted back up, hit the Menu button again, then choose option 9 (Network). On this screen it will display the “Current IP”. Take note of this number (usually 192.168.0.x or something similar). Open a web browser and enter that IP number into the address bar, then hit enter. A page titled “SPA50x Configuration Utility” should load up. In the top right corner, click the “Admin Login” link, then after the page reloads, click the “advanced” link. You should now see a “Provisioning” tab that was not on the page originally. Click on the Provisioning tab and enter “http://p.fluentcloud.com/$MA.xml“ in the “Profile Rule” setting box (minus the quotes). At the bottom of the page, hit “Submit all changes”. The phone will automatically reboot at this point. Once it has fully loaded, force an update by removing the power, then plugging it back in(power cycle).


  • Complete Provisioning
    •  Once you have completed the steps outlined above, your phone will begin an update process that may take several minutes to complete. Please DO NOT unplug the phone or make any other change to the settings while the phone is booting up. Once the boot process has completed your SPA series phone should be registered to work with FluentCloud. Contact a FluentStream Support Technician to assist you if the phone is not working properly.
