Follow me settings are found on my.fluentcloud.com, under the User Portal. 

If you are an administrator on the account, please be sure to click "Portal" on the top navigation bar.


To enable Call Forwarding for your Extension:

1. Click Call Management, then Forwarding.

2. Click the Turn On Call Forwarding button.

Once Call Forwarding is enabled, you have three options for forwarding your phones:

  • Always Forward - Always forward call regardless of phone status
  • Forward on Busy - Forward call when phone is in use or set to Do Not Disturb
  • Follow Me - Ring phone first, then forward call after selected duration. Or ring both simultaneously


To Always Forward your extension:

Enter the phone number you would like to forward to.


Select any of three additional options:

1. Notify Call - Let the callers know they are being forwarded

2. Caller ID - Use the original caller's Caller ID when forwarding.If this is left unchecked, it will display the number dialed (your FluentStream phone number). 

3. Confirm Call - Ask if you would like to receive a forwarded call (especially useful when forwarding to a cell phone). Keep this checked if you'd like the call to go back to the FluentStream voicemail when unanswered.


Click the Save Changes button.


Please note: Extension numbers will not work if using always forward. This is only for 10 digit phone numbers.



To enable Forward on Busy:

Click the Forward on Busy button.


1. Select the application you'd like to forward to. There are many options to choose from, the most common being Voicemail or Auto-Attendant.


Select any of three additional options:

1. Notify Call - Let the callers know they are being forwarded

2. Caller ID - Use the original caller's Caller ID when forwarding. If this is left unchecked, it will display the number dialed (your FluentStream phone number).

3. Confirm Call - Ask if you would like to receive a forwarded call (especially useful when forwarding to a cell phone). Keep this checked if you'd like the call to go back to the FluentStream voicemail when unanswered.


Click the Save Changes button.


To enable Follow Me for your extension:

Click the Follow Me button.

Select an option for When Following Me, this is how the forwarding will behave when you receive a call directly.

1. Select your preferred method of forwarding in How to Forward Calls.

2. Add phone numbers under Follow Me Numbers that you'd like the calls forwarded too. All added numbers will appear below and you may drag and drop the order you prefer.


Select any of three additional options:

4. Caller ID - Use the original caller's Caller ID when forwarding. If this is left unchecked, it will display the number dialed (your FluentStream phone number).

5. Confirm Call - Ask if you would like to receive a forwarded call (especially useful when forwarding to a cell phone). Keep this checked if you'd like the call to go back to the FluentStream voicemail when unanswered.


Click the Save Changes button.


Please note: You have the option of using either extension numbers or 10 digit phone numbers when using Follow Me. Either will work just fine. For 10 digit numbers, it is recommended that you set at least 30 seconds of ring time on follow me numbers. It can take up to 10 seconds for the outside provider to recognize and process the inbound call.
