Voicemail Drop is a feature that allows you to send pre-recorded voicemail messages to the voicemail box of unanswered outbound calls. With this feature, you can add a personalized introduction, set an introductory countdown, and add as many recordings as needed. This is a great feature for sales and support teams who make multiple outbound calls and want the ease of dropping in a pre-recorded message. This is a premium feature.


Creating Your Voicemail Messages to Drop
This premium feature needs to be enabled on an Account Level by the FluentStream support team, for the feature to populate. Contact us if you would like to learn more about getting this enabled for your account, 303-462-5683 (opt 2) or support@fluentstream.com


If you have already had Voicemail Drop enabled for your account, you just need to enable it at the extension level. Please refer to Enable Voicemail Drop per Extension.


Once the feature has been enabled for your extension you will be able to create or upload the recordings you would like to use for Voicemail drop.


1. Log into my.fluentcloud.com, if you are an Admin, go to the "Portal" view.


2. Go to Call Management>Voicemail Drop:




2. Select "Create New":



Now you will have the option to Record from Browser or Upload a Recording


Record from Browser




1. Select a Title for the recording.
2. You can also add a Feature Code to use the Voicemail Drop feature on demand.  Digits 1 through 9 can be used, resulting in *991 through *999 as the codes you would dial on a call. This is optional.

3. Enable an Introduction Countdown will allow you to have a predetermined amount of time to leave a personalized message before you drop the pre-recorded message in. This is ideal for personalizing the message a bit more.

4. Countdown - the number of seconds you will have to record a personalized message before the voicemail drop is set.  Note - countdown is not available when activated via feature code.

5. Test Countdown Introduction allows you a real-time test of the amount of time you will have if you enabled the countdown option.


With this option, you can either Save Locally which will save the recording to your computer's hard drive or Save for Voicemail Drop which will save the recording to the portal.  If you Save Locally, you will need to upload the recording in the next step.


Upload A Recording





1. Click Choose File to select the audio file you'd like to upload (Compatible files are .mp3 or .wav and 15mb or less).
2. You can also add a Feature Code to use the Voicemail Drop feature on demand. Digits 1 through 9 can be used, resulting in *991 through *999 as the codes you would dial on a call. This is optional.

Once you have uploaded your file select "Create New Voicemail Drop".
