Treat your callers to seasonal and customized Music On Hold. FluentStream has curated several holiday playlists for your business to choose from or you can follow this document to upload a custom playlist. You can change Music On Hold for your entire business, for individual extensions, or for individual queues. Decide for what level you would like to adjust your Music on Hold settings and follow the instructions below to update your account!


Update your Music on Hold at the Account Level:


Log into my.fluentcloud.com. You must be an Administrator to access this.


Go to Account and Settings.

Under the General Settings tab, there is a Default Music On Hold drop-down menu. Select the playlist of your choice from that drop down menu and the selected playlist will become your business's default Music On Hold and will play unless you override it at the Call Group, Queue, or Extension level.  Save your changes and you are all set!

Update at the Extension Level:


Log into my.fluentcloud.com. You must be an Administrator to access this.


Select Settings and then Extensions:

Select the extension you wish to adjust the Music On Hold for from the list of extensions on the left side of the page. You may use the search option to find your extension. Under the "User Settings" tab, a "Music On Hold" drop-down exists.

Select the playlist of your choice from that drop down menu. The selected playlist will become your extension's Music On Hold.

Select the "Update Extension" from the bottom of the page.

Then select the "Reload Configuration" button from the top right of your screen. Wait for a confirmation of the reload (it will only take a brief moment).

Update at the Queue Level:


Log into my.fluentcloud.com. You must be an Administrator to access this.


Select Features and then Queues:

Select the queue you want to adjust the settings for from the list of queues on the left side of the page. Then select the Audio & Announcements tab.

Move the Music On Hold switch to the Custom position. A drop-down menu will populate and you may select the playlist of your choice for the queue. Select Update Queue  and you are good to go!

Update at the Call Group Level:


Log into my.fluentcloud.com. You must be an Administrator to access this.


Select Features and then Call Groups.

Select the Call Group you want to adjust the settings for from the list on the left side of the page. Then select the Settings tab.

Scroll down to Music On Hold Category and select your music on hold from the drop down. Save your changes and you are good to go!
