The following guide will walk you through the process of provisioning your Polycom 335 phone to work on FluentCloud’s new and improved hosted phone system. Please note that you may contact a FluentStream Support Technician to assist you with this provisioning process. To contact support dial (303) GO-CLOUD and Select Option 2 for Support.

Because this phone was previously on Ring Central, you will need to either contact Ring Central for the phone password, or you can ‘jail break’ the phone. See below for steps on how to do so.


Jail Breaking You Polycom 335

1. Unplug the phone from power and plug back in

2. Upon reboot, the phone will display a welcome/startup screen. As soon as you see this screen, press and hold 1, 3, 5 , and 7 simultaneously

3. The password will be the mac address listed on the back of the phone. (Be sure to use the ABC/abc/123 toggle to switch from number to letters. This should all be in upper case as well)


Provisioning your Polycom 335 (If your phone is jail broken, you can skip steps 1 and 2)


Step 1—Connect Your Phone

Securely connect Polycom phone to your network router. Be sure that all cables are properly inserted in the correct ports.

Step 2—Reset Phone to Factory Default

Before you begin configuring your phone to work with the new FluentCloud platform you will first need to restore the Polycom phone to its original factory settings. To do this, hold down the following four keys simultaneously (1, 3, 5, and 7). After holding down for a few seconds the phone will prompt you to enter a password. You will need to contact support for the password at or 303-GO-CLOUD. After you’ve entered the password, select Enter and the phone will reset to factory default.


Step 3—Phone Configuration

Once the phone is booted all the way back up, select Menu > Settings > Advanced > Password is 456 > Admin Settings > Network Configuration. Scroll down Server Menu and select. You will see server type is set to TFP. (Please note, if you do not see FTP as the Server Type, the phone reset did not work properly and you will need to manually reset the phone. Please see below for the steps on how to do this.) Click Edit and using your arrow keys scroll and select HTTP. The scroll down to Server Address. The default shown should be Select Server Address and using your keypad enter Please note that the . symbol can be found by pressing the * key on your keypad. Once you’ve entered the Server Address click Exit twice and then select Save and Reboot.

Step 4—Complete Provisioning

Once you have completed the steps outlined above, your phone will begin a reboot process that may take several minutes to complete. Please DO NOT unplug the phone or make any other change to the settings while the phone is booting up. Once the boot process has completed your Polycom phone should be registered to work with FluentCloud. Contact a FluentStream Support Technician to assist you if the phone is not working properly. To contact support dial (303) GO-CLOUD and Select Option 2 for Support.

Manual Resets:

To manually reset the phone, you will first need to make sure the phone is connected to your network and is completely booted up. From the main screen, hit the Menu button —> Settings (Option 3) —> Advanced (Option 2) —> Password 456 —> Admin Settings (Option 1) —> Reset to Defaults (Option 5). Select the first reset, select yes, and wait for phone to boot up. Do the same for each available reset, and get back to the initial set up screen from step 2 above. You should now see FTP as the Server Type.
