Setting a Static IP on a Yealink T-4x series phone
Connect both power and ethernet, then wait for the phone to fully boot up.
Press the Menu button
The password is ‘admin’ by default. The phone is in this state until it is provisioned fully to our service.
Once provisioned, the password is changed for security purposes(contact email@example.com for the password). To enter numbers, press the ‘abc’ softkey 3 times to change to number entry mode.
Select WAN Port
Set the proper IP Mode
IPv4 is the most common for LAN networks, and is used in this setup guide.
Set the mode to Static IP (default is DHCP)
Enter the desired setting for the following:
IP Address - Address of the phone itself.
Subnet - LAN subnet for the phone. Normally 255.255.255.0
Gateway - The routing gateway address. Normally the IP address of the router.
Primary DNS - Primary server for registration\provisioning server name to ip address lookups.
Secondary DNS - Secondary server for registration\provisioning server name to ip address lookups.
Press save once complete, then confirm the reboot.
The phone will reboot and have the static ip set once it comes online.
