Microphone Troubleshooting

You will first need to confirm that the microphone is installed and recognized by the computer.

To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Go to http://www.google.com
2. Click on the Microphone, , in the Search Bar

Note: You'll have to click Allow to use the microphone for search
3. Say something into the microphone and if the microphone is recognized you'll see an entry in the search bar
4. Google will respond to your request which you'll hear in your headset.


Default Permission Settings and Exceptions

You can choose a different default permission setting and manage exceptions in Content settings.


To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Click the Chrome Menu, , on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click Show Advanced Settings.
4. In the Privacy section, click Content Settings.
5. In the Media section
6. Set Microphone to your headset device
7. Click Done


Headset Driver Update

If you are having trouble getting your headset to work properly, you may need to update your drivers.
